Granfalloon is the musical project of Manchester based artist and producer Richard Lomax. Lomax mixes lo-fi acoustic music with not-quite traditional storytelling, to chisel out small, beautiful moments. Granfalloon showcases this non-traditional storytelling with subject matter like... the meta-narrative approach to the dangers to you and the relationships around you that writing can have, expressing love through mathematical formulae, and 8 year old girls catching bees in Tupperware boxes, all with a heavy dose of Richard Lomax’s absurdism.

In 2017 Granfalloon released debut album, Down There For Dancing. Blogsite Listen With Monger said "...a delicately poised sliver of indie that exists between the darkest of hours and the breaking of the dawn. Lomax’s rich, deep vocal croons over a melody that I would gladly be awoken by every day while a beat stutters in the background. Lomax is one of those artists that will persistently and consistently produce music of excellent quality without compromising for the benefit of mass appeal. This is art (without wanting to sound pretentious) and art sounds good in 2017."
Granfalloon has had tremendous support from BBC Introducing and they have also been named Artist Of The Week for Richer Sounds and Qthemusic. In 2018, Granfalloon toured the UK, Germany, Belgium, France, and Italy. Previously Lomax has played shows with We Are Scientists, Frightened Rabbit, Cass McCombs, Malcolm Middleton, Emma Pollock, Siobhan Wilson, The Burning Hell, and The Wave Pictures.
